SUMMARY:
The Application Engineer I reports to the National Sales Manager and supports internal and external customers with product and technical knowledge. This position encompasses the comprehensive provision of customer services. It involves consulting on product applications and solutions with end users, consultants, and contractors, alongside the company’s commercial, quotes, and project execution teams. The role necessitates a collaborative approach with factory support functions such as design/manufacturing engineering, production, supply chain, purchasing, and customer service to ensure an optimal customer experience. Application Engineer I should have some basic knowledge of power electrical equipment, an engineering background, and knowledge of UL Standards & NEC requirements, with experience in electrical equipment solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prioritize outstanding external and internal customer service in every aspect related to this position as the central focus.
- Ensure alignment between the engineering team and the customer specifications to develop solutions that meet mechanical, electrical, safety, functional, cost target, and manufacturability requirements for all product lines.
- Review customer inquiries and work with the Sales team to prioritize customer engagements with high potential fit for their portfolio & requirements.
- Collaborate with the company’s commercial operations team, sales managers, and project managers to plan, prepare, and execute strategic deals in complex sales cycles.
- Match customer requirements with proposed standard or customized solutions.
- Support the Commercial Operations Team in determining the scope of supply from project drawings and specifications.
- Estimate product costs at the bid stage for custom engineered solutions.
- Assist the Customer Experience Manager in routing customer inquiries and opportunities based on Standard or Custom Engineered products.

- 2+ Years of proven work experience as an Engineer for the electrical equipment manufacturing industry
- 1+ years of technical experience working with power equipment.
- 1+ years of experience working with electrical regulatory agencies and NRTL (cUL, ETL, NEC, DOE, CSA, IEC, etc.)
- Ability to work harmoniously with internal and external resources at all levels, an earnest posture to encourage feedback, a keenness to listen and learn assiduously from others, as well as an openness to share sound management, business or analytical perspectives that enhance knowledge and skill of others in turn.
- Excellent communication, persuasion, and presentation skills, written and oral.
- Ability to drive & willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

- Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time inside the country
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field required
