Regional Sales Director with hazardous and non-hazardous waste, industrial and field services, lab pack and waste reuse experience.
We are seeking an experienced and high-performing Regional Director of Sales to lead our sales strategy and drive revenue growth in the Western New York and Pennsylvania territories of the Midwest Region. This leadership role is ideal for a results-driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic market.
As a key leader on the Midwest Region Sales team, you will be responsible for managing a geographically dispersed team of dynamic sellers. You will take ownership of driving significant revenue growth that supports the region’s strategic objectives, working closely with cross-functional teams including Customer Care, Solutions Sales Managers, other Sales Directors, and Waste Approval Teams to ensure business operations are efficiently managed.
You bring energy, business insight, “hunter” instincts, and strong people skills to achieve meaningful growth targets. As a proven Sales Leader, you will develop and execute a multi-faceted sales strategy to increase market share, ensure customer satisfaction, and lead your team to success.
This role will focus on growth within the Sustainable Material Management and environmental services space, primarily for non-hazardous liquids and solids. However, it also includes expanding our One-Stop-Shop services, which offer Industrial and Field Services, Hazardous Waste, Lab Packs, Recycling, Compost, De-packaging, and other forms of Reuse.
Reporting directly to the US Midwest Chief Commercial Officer, you will oversee sales strategy execution, budget management, and profitability for our Material Processing and Thermomechanical Treatment facilities.
Position Responsibilities:
- Player / Coach – Lead the growth of all Lines of Business – Lead a team as well as identify and develop business opportunities to grow.
- Execute on our Full Potential Plan initiatives.
- Forecasting and reporting – Will actively communicate sales activities and pipeline opportunities and drive CRM/NetSuite proficiencies.
- Sales and Administrative Processes – Will follow established protocols regarding contracts, credit, pricing, procedures, and documentation. Drive profitable revenue growth.
- Execute on pricing strategy.
- Execute on overall sales plans and strategy.
- Communicate with Commercial and Senior Leadership team.
- Roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary for the customer and business.
- Skill and experience in Private Equity and Lean environment.
- Will perform other duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years’ experience in sales leadership and account management in the environmental, route sales and services, industrial services categories
- A sales leader with demonstrated track record leading teams with a culture of winning.
- “Hunter” and new business development mentality.
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Sciences or 15 years equivalent experience.
- Ability to understand and communicate internally and to customers the technical capabilities of our facilities, operations, transportation, and waste approval processes.
- Travel – mostly within Midwest geographic region, 70%.
- Consistent track record of success, driving revenue growth against quota and increased profitability.
- Strong experience in sales and sales leadership methodologies and best practices.
- Ability to provide accurate forecasting and pipeline development and management.
- Analytical and metrics driven through all stages of the sales cycle.
